Weekly Life Drawing

On Tuesdays we host a class which is a more traditional take on life drawing in comparison to our experimental Thursday class. This would be perfect for first-time drawers and all abilities.

Every first Thursday of the month, we bring a first time model to our Glasgow audience. Being a life model is a lot tougher then most people give the model credit for, and taking the first steps to becoming a model is a huge task for anyone. Getting work with no experience can be troublesome, which means it is often exploited by organisers charging a model who should be being paid for their time. We want to make sure we make it as comfortable for them as possible.

Remaining Thursday sessions throughout the month are varied, experimental and often themed. Keep up to date with events on our Facebook page for details.

Observational Drawing Classes at Kelvingrove Museum

  • Kelvingrove Museum Glasgow (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Whether you are looking to start drawing or are someone who draws each day, drawing from observation is a fundamental part of understanding your own drawing.

Drawing life is offering a 6-week course held at the Kelvingrove Museum every Tuesday at 2pm-4pm. The course is designed to encourage students to develop a personal drawing language through concentrated observation.

Each week there will be a different challenge set by the tutor to question the way you see, think, feel and draw.

Materials will be provided for each session and we will be working with a variety of mediums.

Attendees are welcome to join our Life Drawing session at For Fika Sake in the evening for a discounted price.

Tickets are available here
